Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Leading national consumer products manufacturer/distributor in Los Angeles has an immediate need for a Finance Manager.

Finance Manager 

Salary - $90-$110K plus bonus

 

 

The Finance Manager, FP&A, will provide daily support to the Sales, Marketing and international management teams.  This position will be responsible for quarterly / semi-annual Plan and Update forecast process, in depth analytical support, ad hoc analysis, month end close and monthly review of Actuals and variance analysis with department heads and Senior Management.  This position will report to the Director, Financial Planning and Analysis.

 

Detailed job responsibilities include the following:

 

• The Finance Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of regular financial performance reporting to a broad audience within the company and be involved in the development and delivery of business performance analyses and reporting.
  
• Will work with functional managers and staff in the financial management of their organizations, including project financial management, financial performance tracking, and process improvement efforts.
  
• Lead overall quarterly / semi-annual forecast process. Create and manage department budgets for the Plan and Update forecast process.
  
• Regularly research, access and communicate risks and opportunities to the semi-annual forecast. Monthly review of Actuals and variance analysis with department heads.
  
• Collaborate on preparation of financial presentations to internal executive management. Month end close - ensure entries are accurate, and that proper accruals are made.
• Create financial models and provide ad-hoc financial analysis.
  
• Consolidate Financial Statements for Sr. Management reporting. Monthly & quarterly reporting to Corporate and evaluate current budgeting process, propose improvements and lead implementation effort.

 Requirements

 

A minimum of a bachelors degree is required preferably a major in Accounting or Finance. An MBA is highly preferred. A CPA, CMA, or other financial certifications are preferred. 

A minimum of Five years of finance or related business experience is required. . 

Candidate must possess excellent analytical (MS Excel), conceptual, communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required. Individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The ability to effectively take on leadership roles in various functions is required.
