ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING

Job Description

We are currently seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing Services to assist with the day-to-day functions and overall operations within the nursing department. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the Assistant Director oversees staffing, scheduling, training and infection control. Along with the Director of Nursing, the Assistant Director of Nursing Services will lead the nursing team in achieving clinical excellence, quality care and regulatory compliance.

 

Job Requirements

Potential candidates are required to have a valid registered nursing license. Candidates also need a thorough understanding of state, federal and skilled nursing regulations. A minimum of three to five years experience in a clinical nursing setting, and experience as a manager or supervisor is ideal. Patience, self-discipline, effective communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to develop a professional staff, build effective team relationships and establish a positive work environment. Successful candidates will demonstrate skills in multi-tasking and organization. A Bachelor degree is preferred.
