Senior Processing Technician

Process policy transactions and/or contract setup with customers to support assigned business unit. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Rates and issues, using both manual and automated methods, Commercial Lines new business, renewals, policy quotes, endorsements and cancellations for all lines of business and multiple states
• Interprets issuance and rating instructions from Underwriters for new business, renewals, policy quotes, endorsements and cancellations
• Stays current with changing conformance or compliance issues, as well as procedural, system or workflow changes
• Delivers timely and accurate quotes and policies Provides technical and service support to agents and underwriters
• Follow established policies, procedures and guidelines for work requests, problem resolution, and escalating complex inquiries to subject matter experts (SMEs) and/or Underwriters
• Build relationships with team and provide assistance to meet or exceed departmental goals
• Build strong customer relationships with internal/external customers
• Process or enter data into multiple systems (if applicable) and make updates or corrections in timely manner
• Develop knowledge of assigned contracts/programs by reviewing available reference material and consulting SME’s and/or Underwriters
• Resolve internal and/or external customer inquiries as required

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years rating and processing experience
• Continuing job-related education
• Insurance knowledge preferred
