Life Insurance Claims Specialist:
Job Description:
An insurance claims specialist's primary duty is to examine complex and/or unusual claims to determine whether they may be covered.
Other duties include;
• Authorizing claim payment
• Setting reserves on payment
• Ensuring timely disbursement of funds to clients
• Coordinating or conducting investigations on insurance claims
• Identifying claims with possible recovery from third parties
• Consulting with attorneys, doctors and agents in regards to the disposition of complex claims.
Qualifications/Experience:
Experience with Life insurance is a plus, but not a must! Experience in the insurance industry is a must for at least 3-5 years.
Looking for people who have had or still have:
Series 6 license, Life/health insurance license, Series 7 license, Series 63 license
Annuity Specialist:
Responsibilities:
•Conduct conference calls with prospective and current clients and the insurance firms associated with each annuity to gather pertinent information
•Work closely with various internal departments to understand the financial situation of prospective clients and potential issues associated with the surrender of an annuity
•Investigate, analyze, and understand the various features of prospective and current clients' specific annuity
•Offer prospective and current clients education regarding annuities, including a balanced view of the benefits and disadvantages of their specific annuity
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
•3+ years of prior annuity experience preferred
•Series 65 plus State Health and Life or equivalent insurance licenses
•Advanced understanding of annuities and riders
•Dynamic verbal communication skills to clearly communicate and answer questions regarding complex aspects of an annuity
•Demonstrated ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle day-to-day changes in workload
•Willingness to be flexible to the changing needs of a growing business unit
