School District Specialist

EBS is seeking a School District Specialist (with a minimum experience of five years in the education field) to serve the Bay Area. The School District Specialist must perform the essential functions of the position as they are outlined below. In addition to the aforementioned responsibilities, the candidate must hold the necessary state licenses and maintain knowledge of state and federal laws. The following position description is all-encompassing and is reflective of the principal job elements and requirements.

Representative Duties:

• Plan, organize, implement, and coordinate the overall structure of the District’s content area instructional program for the purpose of enhancing the overall achievement of an identified population of students.
• Develop and implement teacher training in content standards and core curriculum of subject areas or related to program delivery standards; provide for proper articulation across grade levels and with other institutions.
• Write or assist in writing grants and re-applications for funding of assigned programs and instructional support services.
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff (along with arranging for appropriate training); interview and select employees, and recommend transfers, reassignments, terminations, and disciplinary actions.
• Prepare Board agenda items for review by management; direct the preparation and maintenance of a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records, and files.
• Provide input to textbook selection and evaluation.
