Job Summary
Responsible for overall management of Caregivers and CNAs to assure that the employees are in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and company policies. Evaluates and manages all Caregivers and CNAs employed by the company. Highly skilled at developing and maintaining excellent relationships with Caregivers and Clients. Ensures that all referrals are received in an accurate, detailed manner and are properly handled.
Essential Functions
Schedules and coordinates day to day activities of Caregivers/CNAs.
Responsible for conducting Telephone and Physical Assessments of new Clients to develop plan of care.
Caregiver/CNA orientation with the Client's plan of care.
Performs supervisory visits for Caregivers/CNAs at Client's location (home and/or facility).
Communicates continually with Staff, Caregivers/CNAs and Clients to evaluate service.
Performs on-call coordinator duties as needed.
Fill in for Caregiver/CNA in emergency situation to ensure continuity of care for Client.
Responsible for training and development of Caregivers/CNAs, to exceed industry standards in care, Client relationships and state requirements.
Responsible for Caregiver/CNA hiring, orientations & in-services, disciplinary actions, etc.
Interviews all Caregiver and CNA applicants.
Assists with Caregiver/CNA screening, testing and new hire orientation as needed.
Employs an adequate number of qualified Caregivers/CNAs and ensures an adequate ongoing plan for Caregiver/CNA hiring, orientation, evaluation, and discipline.
Receives Client & caregiver referrals and inquiries.
Responds promptly and courteously to all Clients' calls.
Completes ongoing education as required to be in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Assists with public relations efforts.
Assists in Answering telephone, taking inquiries or messages using good telephone technique.
Other assistance to & backup for Operations Manager.
Demonstrate ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
Demonstrate ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
Requirements
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Availability
· CNA or LVN license with a minimum of one year experience.
· High School graduate or equiv. w/ two years of management experience.
· Basic office and computer skills and organizational abilities.
Excellent interpersonal relations abilities.
· Excellent telephone skills.
· Knowledge of common medical terminology.
· Able to work independently, demonstrating sound judgment.
· Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
· Have a valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile.
· Be available as required for on-call duty outside of normal office hours.
Working Conditions/Environment
Works both in the office and in the field as needed.
Physical Requirements: Must have eye/hand/foot coordination, finger/fine dexterity and be able to handle/grip/squeeze and perform repetitive activity and demonstrate speed movement/velocity. Must be capable of transferring-vertical/horizontal, lifting/carrying greater than 35 pounds with assistance and be able to push/pull, stoop/bend, kneel, walk, sit, crouch/squat, flex/position,/twist, stand, hold, restrain, and reach.
Notes/Special Instruction
Must work closely with the Operations Manager to assure that Caregivers and CNAs with appropriate skills are assigned to individual Clients.
