Type of Position:   Regular Hire

Under the direction of a URS Project Manager, candidate will perform asbestos abatement oversight and collect air samples for PCM or TEM analyses. Other industrial hygiene projects, such as lead abatement oversight, mold surveys and indoor air quality assessments may also be assigned. Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • NYSDOL Asbestos Project Monitor License.
  • Minimum 6 months of industrial hygiene experience, including asbestos abatement oversight.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must successfully complete a medical examination designed to evaluate ability to: (1) perform physical requirements of work assignments (e.g., bending, kneeling, standing, confined-space entry, and lifting and carrying objects weighing 30 lbs.) and (2) wear an air-purifying respirator as required by OSHA Standard 29 CFR Part 1910.134, Respiratory Protection.
  • Candidate must obtain negative result on drug screen performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy.
  • Must be willing to work at various locations throughout the New York and New Jersey metropolitan area and provide own transportation to work sites.
  • Valid Driver's License.
