Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Engineer, Controls & Electronics Hardware.
Day to Day (what a typical day or week look like in this role):
The senior electrical engineer will serve as a group leader directing cross-functional projects through daily integration with subordinates, services, related departments and supervisors. This position will require the continual maintenance and sharing of a comprehensive knowledge base of various products, processes and test requirements. In addition, you will troubleshoot, analyze, and conceive solutions for various areas, including components, small systems, test methods, quality systems and materials. The senior electrical engineer is responsible for maintaining a strong communication link to the supervisor, related departments, customers and suppliers with an eye toward necessary consulting and negotiation to optimize results.
What You Will Do:
Direct cross-functional projects with the assistance of many team playersEstablish, plan and conduct design, development, and coordination for test programs or components, systems or processes or materialsDesign, develop, review and conduct coordination for test programs or electrical components, small systems or processes or materials taking into account customers, product performance, cost and quality requirementsUse electronic design strategy to guide and continuously improve the development process and electronic control designsSupervise and schedule the technical staffAnalyze, evaluate and document data, standards and systemsIdentify, analyze and solve problems

Requirements
What You Need To Succeed:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- A detailed understanding of microcomputer architectures to achieve the most efficient hardware/software design solutions
- An understanding of specific electronic and electro-mechanical control systems
- Ability to understand and evaluate motor technology options
- Ability to develop electronic circuits, knowing the advantages, limitations and costs of various electronic design approaches
