As a Controls Engineer in a manufacturing environment, you will provide support, leadership and direction to the Maintenance Technicians and perform controls functions for the Press Maintenance Department.
Other duties may include:
Support Manufacturing Engineering
Plan and implement improvements related to specific controls systems
Lead teams supporting activities related to controls issues
Provide technical support for controls systems
Assist in training of maintenance employees
Ensure all daily activity reports are documented correctly
Ensure scheduled maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner
Electrical circuit troubleshooting
Attend meetings as needed
Follows all house safety rules and regulations
Set up preventative maintenance procedures
Maintain compliance with TS16949 requirements
All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Technical Associates Degree preferred or equivalent automated manufacturing experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of automated manufacturing technical experience required,
- Experience working with Beckhoff, Omron, Siemens & Allen Bradley controls systems, experience working with PILZ safety controls systems.
- Intermediate = 1-3 years of experience / some training required. preferred
- Mathematical skills and training required.
- Able to stand and walk for 10-12 hour shifts
- Able to work rotating shifts
- Computer literate
- Lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, regularly
