Description Wheels Convenience Stores is currently looking for Assistant Store Managers and Shft Managers in the Danbury/New Milford Connecticut area.

Responsibilities include assisting the Store Manager with the efficient and effective management of the entire location. Maintain strict financial management, utilizing productive marketing, controlling loss prevention, providing a desirable work environment, as well as, ensuring that Company policies and procedures and state & federal laws are being maintained.

Duties include:
Excellent customer service
Overseeing store employees
Completion of daily paperwork
Direct sales promotions, implement new programs, communicate with vendors
Assist with ordering and merchandising
Ensure that policies and procedures are being followed by all employees
Assist with the recruitment and hiring of personnel as needed to staff the facility
Assist the manager in covering shifts left vacant due to emergencies or lack of personnel
Assist with resolution of employee problems, complaints or suggestions
Handling bank deposits
Perform store audits
Making sure the facility is cleaned and well stocked
Total responsibility for store operations in absence of store manager

RequirementsCandidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be responsible and have reliable transportation. At least 2 years experience in a like environment along with some prior management experience.

Excellent communication & people skills
PC Skills
Knowledge of Accounting skills
Prior Supervisory experience
