Seeking a Project Manager for a 12-16 month contract in Charlotte, NC

Other duties may be assigned. Directly or through others, the incumbent will handle:

*Ensure that the project tracks to the committed timeline and budget.

*Provide leadership and direction to build and maintain project momentum.

*Build and maintain strong relationships with the business unit, IT teams and outsourcing providers.

*Manage the details of the project (scope, schedule, resources, cost, issues, risks, etc.)

*Collaborate with technology finance partners on project budget planning, variance and forecasting.
*Act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiency.

job requirements

*Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science or a related field

* 8 -10 years of PM experience in an IT environment

*Ability to work in a demanding environment meeting aggressive deadlines while managing multiple tasks

*Understands SDLC and ITIL processes along with all aspects of project planning and execution

*Ability to communicate with technology providers as well as with business leaders

*An ability to understand the technical details and communicate the essentials at a high level is important

*Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels from team members to executives

*An energetic, hands-on, enthusiastic, results-oriented manager, capable of adding significant value to the existing management team

*Ability to successfully manage in a matrix environment and across various business units

*Professional certifications a plus (e.g. PMP, ITIL, PE)

*Fosters positive and effective relationships with business unit partners, related business unit stakeholders and providers

*Ability to achieve and maintain planned schedule, cost and quality targets.
