DG21 LLC. provides base operating services for the U.S. Navy on the island of Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory.  We have an excellent opportunity to work overseas supporting this base operation!

With beautiful beaches and seven degrees south of the equator, DG is located in the center of a vast expanse of tropical waters, far from inhabited land. Roughly 2,500 miles down from Bombay and approximately equidistant from Africa and Singapore.

TRANSPORTATION MANAGER

DG21 LLC is a joint venture of First Support Services Inc., Day & Zimmerman Services, and W. S. Atkins Facilities Management Ltd. based in Diego Garcia, a U.S. Naval Support Facility and is in need of:

PACAF TRANSPORTATION MANAGER

Functions: The PACAF Transportation Manager must have extensive knowledge on Vehicle Fleet Management, maintenance background with supervisory experience maintaining Transportation Vehicles and Equipment, WRM and AGE including but not limited to, inspecting, maintaining, overhauling, repairing or modifying Transportation Vehicles and Equipment, WRM and AGE.  Knowledge is mandatory of: mechanical principles, pneumatic hydraulics, refrigeration, gasoline and diesel internal combustion engines, and electrical systems; concepts and application of applicable maintenance directives; interpreting wiring and schematic diagrams; and hazardous materials publications and proper handling, use and disposal of hazardous waste and materials.

Basic Job Qualifications:

• Must be able to speak, read & write technical English.
• Must pass overseas requirements, physical examinations & complete dental examination.
• Must be familiar with applicable AF Technical Orders and Work Cards.
• Must possess a secret clearance.
• Must hold state and government drivers licenses.

Education: Must have High School Diploma.

Experience:  

• Must have at least five years managerial experience maintaining Transportation Vehicles and Equipment, WRM and AGE.
• Knowledge in maintaining WRM Equipment is desirable.
• Knowledge in maintaining AGE Equipment is desirable. 
• Knowledge in maintenance information system such as OLVIMS (On-Line Vehicle Interactive Maintenance System) is desirable.
• Previous experienced in U.S. Air Force and Navy support equipment divisions preferred and highly desired.
• Knowledge in vehicle scanning equipment is desirable. i.e. Pro-Link.
• Must also have a minimum (3) three years supervisory experience maintaining Transportation Vehicles and Equipment, WRM and AGE.
