Job Description

Position Overview:
The Fitness Programming Manager is responsible for improving the performance of the Fitness Department by consitently coaching and supervising employees to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through obervation, interaction and motivation to achieve total fitness success.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with corporate, area and club management to recruit, hire, train and develop staff. 
  • Work closely with Regional Director of Personal Training & Fitness to achieve monthly financial projections.
  • Work on tactial recruiting methods with Membership & Sales department
  • Ensure the accurate reporting of all personal training income and department payroll expenses. 
 


Job Requirements 

  • Comprehensive understanding of current health and fitness standards and principles
  • Previous experience as a fitness trainer and/or group fitness instructor
  • Extensive knowledge of health and fitness equipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Certification in one or more of the following - A.C.E, A.C.S.M., N.A.S.M., N.S.C.A., Cooper Institue-Physical Fitness Specialist or A.F.A.A. and/or
  • B.S. in Physical Education, Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology preferred
  • One year management experince preferably in a health related field
  • Current AED/CPR Certification
  • Foundations Part I and II, through TSI's in-house certification
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  •
