Description

Purdue Employee’s Federal Credit Union located in West Lafayette, IN (Home of Purdue University) with assets over $550 million is looking for a Vice President of Information Technology to join our creative and innovative team.  We are looking for a highly motivated, strategic thinking, results-oriented individual to lead the organization in the areas of Information Technology and e-Commerce.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a technology or business related field; 10 years experience in a progressively responsible technology related field and a minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role. This position requires strong leadership skills including people development, strategic planning, e-Commerce, innovation planning and project management experience, as well as a strong work ethic.  This individual will serve on the senior management team and will report directly to the President/CEO.


 

This position will assist with and oversee the credit union’s information security and integrity, network administration, development of software and programming and database administration.  Responsibilities will also include the following:
 

  • Provide strategic direction and guidance regarding systems and technology.

  • Direct the day-to-day management of the IT Department.  Develop specific project plans and monitor progress on plan rollouts.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of tools and reports to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the core business operating systems.

  • Create a technology vision for the Company and develop plans for the implementation of new technology projects.

  • Identify opportunities to maximize resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development.  Direct any outside support services.

  • Maintain accountability for system and data security.
