Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent with 15 years relevant experience in related field; MS preferred
- Demonstrated experience architecting Federal Health IT sysytems
- 6 or more years of experience designing service oriented architectures (SOA) for healthcare IT projects
- 4 or more years of experience with health IT protocols (HL7, DICOM, etc.)
- 3 or more years of experience developing J2EE solutions
- 3 or more years experience object oriented design and development
- 3 or more years of experience wth architecture modeling tools (UML)
- Familiarity with HITSP Interoperability Specifications, IHE Frameworks, and NHIN Specifications
- Experience with one or more of the following platforms: AHLTA, VistA, NHIN, BHIE
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), time management, interpersonal and team building skills
- Ability to rapidly assimilate new technologies and be able to communicate effectively with various teams
- Proven ability to drive projects with medium to large scope and complexity
- Demonstrated ability to systematically gather relevant information from different sources to address issues and make prompt and insightful decisions
- Experience in the following technologies strongly preferred:
- Open source software projects
- Agile project management methodologies
- Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Certified Scrum Practitioner
