SALARY:          $20.00-22.00/hour

TYPE:   CONTRACT TO PERMANENT

The PERMANENT status of this position is based on the proven ability to complete job responsibilities in a timely and satisfactory manner. During the first few months of employment an employee is on a "PROBATIONARY PERIOD" or contract.  During this time the employee's work will be evaluated.  If the employee has completed his or her position's responsibilities in a successful manner according to company guidelines, the position will potentially become PERMANENT.

Job Description:

• Accomplish computer programming and database management tasks for implementation of engineering tools and products.

• Develop C and C++ code, often platform-independent, including

  o    PDA applications (generally for the PalmOS platform).

  o    Embedded Linux applications

  o    Back-end modules to support web-services.

• Contribute as a team member with engineering in the development of new engineering tools and products.

• Work based on a schedule; create clear documentation for all tasks performed.

• Keep abreast of new technology in the mobile and web-development field.

   

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).

• Extensive programming experience in C/C++ (strong OO skills preferred). Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply but must demonstrate an ability to manage small projects and document them.

• Some Java programming experience is a plus.

• Working knowledge of database management systems including Microsoft SQL.

• Working knowledge of web technology like JavaScript, CSS, web-services, etc.

• Windows Mobile programming experience preferred.

• A keen interest in new technology, especially in the mobile and web-development field, is preferred.

• Candidate must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder - no sponsorship or C2C.

• Local candidates only.

• Position is on-site only, 40 hours / week.
