The individual who qualifies for this position will be an aggressive and ambitious entrepreneur with business development and sales experience who is looking to build his or her own business.  The most successful agents throughout the history of our firm have proven to be coachable, persistent, goals oriented, and understand the importance of business planning, prospecting, and developing client relationships.  Marcus & Millichap’s top-notch training coaches agents on how to successfully build a real estate brokerage business, create value for their clients, and earn wealth for both their clients and themselves.

 

It is not uncommon for our agents to be earning over $100,000 by their second year and over $200,000-$250,000 by their third year.  Even in this current economy, out top agents are earning seven-figures.  Please note, however, that this is a commission only position; therefore, applicants should be in a financial position to continue to meet all of their monetary obligations for the first year while they build their business.  Additionally, all agents in our firm are independent contractors, so this is not an employee position.
Requirements Candidates must have a college degree, 2+ years of sales experience, and be self-motivated, aggressive and entrepreneurial by nature.  In addition, the candidate must hold an active Missouri Real Estate Salesperson or Broker license, or agree to obtain one within six weeks of joining the firm.

 

Responsibilities include:  database research, prospecting, client meetings and presentations, negotiating, property underwriting, financial analysis, deal making and transaction management.
