Video Engineer (7796)

Serves as the Video Engineering lead. Provides coordination, management, tasking, and administration of all on-site activities. Shall serve as the interface between the COR and the contractor personnel in all matters pertaining to the performance of the contract. Work with technical equipment and understand video production concepts, interpreting drawings, specifications, and other related documents. Lead other engineers and video technicians. Perform scheduling, schedule, project management, technical consultation, and approve work of subordinates.
This position is located in San Antonio, TX and Augusta, GA
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years demonstrated Crestron programming experience OR Crestron Programming I Certification and five (5) years of demonstrated experience within the last 7 years. Minimum three (3) years demonstrated experience in VidCAD and/or other CAD programs within the past 5 years.
Knowledge in a minimum 17 of the following fields within the past 5 years:

Analog, SDI and HD SDI video distribution standards

Digital video filtering and scalable video coding

Compression and decompression techniques included MPEG and transport stream decoding

Scan rate conversion, genlocking, color phase
-
Encoding and decoding of television standards such as NTSC , ATSC, PAL

LCD application in video monitoring

Soldering and component level printed circuit repair
-
Signal theory and analysis
-
Projection system setup and logarithms audio speaker placement

Audio processing
-
Image and video processing
-
Multimedia signal processing and technology
-
AES/EBU or AES3 digital audio interface standards
-
Cable termination (Fiber, Coax, Audio etc)

Set-up and maintenance of various record and playback broadcast machines and broadcast cameras

Operation and setup of digital video editing systems
-
Operation and set-up of various production switches
-
Operation and maintenance of audio mixers, microphones, and various audio decks
-
Wired and wireless microphone systems and configurations
-
Design and installation of audio support systems from start to finish
-
Perform system integration using custom fabrication
