Job Description

LABORATORY MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST--CLIENT SUPPORT
TriHealth in Cincinnati, OH
FT, days


This position provides high quality and responsive phone support to the laboratory's clients as well as leadership support for the client support staff. This position requires the technical knowledge to explain test appropriateness, testing procedures, test methodologies, understand and recognize discrepant test results, including specimen collection and other specifics of the actual test to assist the customer in problem solving aspects. This position will be the direct liaison with the clinical testing department when new equipment and or test procedures are brought in so their technical knowledge base remains current.

*Must be knowledgeable in both LIS and HIS functionalities.
*Utilizes analytical, logical, and TQ tools to resolve problems.
*Prioritizes, distributes and completes customer requests timely and accurately and continues to improve the process.
*Regularly reports and charts data on type and quality of service provided to our customers by analyzing data from the customer support database and monitor for process improvement opportunities.

This position will require initiative and independent judgement in dealing with the broad scope of procedure and technical problems and works closely with corporate education department in recommending and providing customers and staff with appropriate training. This position works under the supervision of a laboratory supervisor, but works independently and acts as lead client support specialist in the absence of the supervisor.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree Other Medical Technology; REF! MT, ASCP certified or eqivalent
EXPERIENCE: 3-4 years clinical experience as required by MT program at a hospital

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: MT clinical training
