This is a generic ad meant to cover our future needs for Area Sales Managers in Miami for Luxury and Consumer Goods companies doing business in Latin America and the Travel Retail distribution channel.



Ideal Profile:


The ideal profile for such a position is a very well rounded professional with Sales, Marketing and Finance skills, able to travel between 40% and 70% of the time, with very good academic background (MBA very appreciated) and most of the time bilingual English and Spanish (sometimes Portuguese and French too)



Job Description


Title: Area Sales Manager (Latin America and/or Travel Retail)

Reporting to: nc

Direct Reports: nc


Objective:

 

As an Area Sales Manager you will be assigned a brand or a portfoliio of brands to market and sell to a specific territory (North America, Caribbean, Central America or South America) and a specific market (local market or travel retail). You will be in charge of developping your business by closing deals with distributors / importers and make sure they have the tools and training they need to manage their retail sales.



Main Responsibilities:

    • Forecast sales by product and by territory
    • Travel and meet with the distributors
    • Budget and plan on a yearly basis with your clients
    • Negotiate prices, quantity and spaces in POS
    • Advise your clients on how to spend their marketing budget
    • Manage your P&L on your territory (for senior level)
    • Manage between 0 and 3 Account Executives depending on level of seniority
    • Visit points of sales
    • Make sure the marketing plan and the merchandising is properly implemented
    • Train the sales staff
    • Coordinate promotional events and launches
    • Control inventory
    • Watch competition and market trends
Requirements

Requirements:

 

    • Bachelor Degree minimum (MBA a plus)
    • 3 to 5 years experience in the luxury or consumer goods industries, latin american local markets or travel retail (Perfumes, fragrances, watches, timepieces, jewelry, fashion, apparel, food & beverage, wine & spirits, consumer electronics, etc…)
    • Bilingual English and Spanish (French and/or Portuguese a plus)
    • Excellent with MS Office, Excel in particular
    • VERY open to Travel internationally and work extended hours
    • Familiar with multicultural and international environment
    • Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks
    • Perfect presentation and communication skills
    • Very good skills with Excel and the rest of MS Office
    • Up-to-date work authorization (US Citizenship, Green Card, renewable H1B visa…)

 

 

Compensation:

 

    • Yearly base salary from $55k to $85k depending on company and seniority
    • Yearly bonus from 5% to 20%
