Financial Advisor

A small, unaffiliated financial advisory practice seeks qualified candidates interested in pursuing a career in broad-based financial advisory and investment management. The entrepreneurial practice is fee-based only (no sales commissions), providing services to private individuals and related entities. An SEC registered investment adviser is associated with the firm.

Responsibilities will depend on experience and skill level, but are expected to include:

• analysis and evaluation of client’s financial status including cash flow, risk coverage, employment benefits, tax, retirement & estate planning
• preparation and assistance in implementing financial recommendations
• maintenance, research and analysis of economic, market and investment information
• maintenance of various databases  
• preparation of tax returns and tax planning
• support of other staff members

Small but very busy office on Hudson River 1 hr north of NYC.  Future NYC office planned.

A strong candidate will have expertise in at least one of the advisory areas and will want to become a broad-based financial advisor capable of advising on the spectrum of financial topics. Demonstrated history of taking initiative and working well in a team environment, a plus.

Candidate will have at least one of the following: MBA, CPA, CFP or CFA
