Nurse Case Manager

The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Case Manager to join our team.  The Nurse Case Manager will provide disability claim determination/case management services to the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans in the National Long Term Disability Program and their employees.  Functions as designated Plan's relationship manager regarding disability claims, benefits, provisions and procedures.

Required basic qualifications include:

• Bachelor of Science in nursing or designation of Registered Nurse.

• Five years of case management experience, preferably in a disability claims environment.

• PC proficiency, e.g. word for windows and databases.

Preferred basic qualifications include:

• Experience in a related component of disability such as worker's compensation, legal knowledge, or occupational rehabilitation.

• Thorough understanding and application of clinical medicine including principles and practices; disability claims management
