The National Marrow Donor Program® (NMDP) is a leader in the fast-growing field of cellular transplantation. On any given day, more than 6,000 children and adults are searching for a second chance at life due to a devastating illness such as leukemia, lymphoma or other threatening disease. These patients seek the resources of the NMDP with the hope of receiving a life-saving marrow or cord blood transplant. Our staff helps deliver cutting-edge science, service and support to those patients and their families.
Administrative Specialist – Quality Systems
We offer an exciting career opportunity for a proven administrative professional to provide administrative support and coordination of activities for the Quality Systems and Regulatory Compliance departments. Duties include general department and management support, maintaining and managing calendars, email, documents and presentations; arranging and coordinating travel, meetings and telephone/web conferences; and special projects.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent certification required. Certificate or AA degree in business administration, office management or related training program preferred.
- Four years in an administrative position that required performance of a variety of administrative duties and extensive use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software programs.
- Experience with web conferencing and experience working in a quality assurance or training environment preferred.
- Positive, “can do “attitude with quality focus, proven knowledge of office etiquette and protocol. General business practices and understanding of confidentiality standards.
- Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, presentation software, Internet skills; spreadsheet and database/data management skills.
- Strong oral and written business communication ability; customer service skills; demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail to include proofreading and editing.
- Ability to work in a fast–paced environment
- Prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong sense of initiative
