Job Description
BFS Retail & Commercial Operations, LLC and its subsidiaries employ approximately 22,000 associates in North America. BFRC consists of more than 2,200 company-owned consumer and commercial stores in the United States and Canada as well as the company’s own credit card operations. The store channels include Firestone Tire & Service Centers, Morgan Tire / Tires Plus, Expert Tire, Commercial & Farm, and Mark Morris. GCR Truck Tire Centers offer truck tire sales, service and retreading outlets for truck and bus, off-the-road and agricultural tires.
As a Service Manager at one of more than 1,550 Bridgestone/Firestone retail stores nationwide, you will be charged with the selection, coaching, leading, training and supervision of all vehicle technicians.
The position is also responsible for managing customer relationships within the service department. Frequently you will find yourself in the position of liaison between a technician and a customer. Your people skills are key to your success in combining the technical diagnosis and the needs of the customer and vehicle. Customers are extremely sensitive to the way they're treated. Proper and exceptionally courteous treatment of customers identifies and differentiates Bridgestone/Firestone as a professional service organization, which is extremely important today in attracting and retaining customers.
You will also assist in the purchase of parts, materials and equipment
Job Requirements
The Service Manager position requires previous automotive retail
experience – at least one year as a Service Writer or Service Manager
