We are still growing! Indiana Fiber Network has an immediate need for a Voice Network Engineer/Supervisor

     This position is responsible for testing, turn-up, maintenance, of Wholesale VoIP services including Hosted PBX, Unified Messaging, and VoIP Long Distance. This requires provisioning and maintenance of the Voice Network including Voice Feature Servers, Gateways, Session Border Controllers, Soft Switches and associated Ethernet devices. In addition, the position will provision and maintain SS7 Services provided through a mated pair of STP’s. Also is the main driver and researcher for new voice applications and establishes the work assignments of subordinate staff.

Responsibilities

Either directly or through supervision of staff

• Testing and turn-up of Wholesale Voice Services • Designs and tests new VoIP applications and devices • Participate in vendor technical training • Makes new services presentations and recommendations to management • Provisioning and maintenance activities on:  Broadsoft Feature Server , MetaSwitch, Acme Packet Session Border Controllers, Cisco and Foundry Ethernet Switches and Routers,Tekelec Eagle STP • Perform both hardware and software updates • Isolates and resolves complex issues with the voice network • Works with sales and customers to help promote company and services

• Minimum 5 years of telecom or networking experience

• In depth knowledge of the following: Broadsoft Feature Server,  MetaSwitch, VoIP Ethernet Routing Methods

 • Knowledge in the following: Acme Packet Session Border Controller, Cisco or Foundry Ethernet Switches and Routers, SIP Clients and VoIP Phones, Linux, Packet Sniffing Software/JDSU Test Sets, Tekelec Eagle STP/SS7 Fundamentals  

• Ability to work some evenings • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
