Director of Sales

Armstrong Moving & Storage, Inc. a leader in the transportation industry for over 60 years is looking for a qualified, proven sales leader to manage our sales force in introducing our complete line of transportation and warehousing services to potential customers. As a shareholder agent of United Van Lines with seven offices in both Colorado and Texas, we are looking for only the very best to represent our great company.  The Director of Sales will be based out of our corporate office in Round Rock, Texas.  This is a highly visible position to senior management and reports to the General Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

•  Proactively managing sales representatives, hiring, educating, training, motivating and leading our sales team to sell our relocation services including household goods, employee relocations, office and industrial moves, trade shows, exhibits, international shipments, special commodities, logistics, and storage/distribution.

• Manage a team of 10-15 seasoned outside sales representatives. 

• Create a team culture to focus on new sales and revenue opportunities in all business segments:  small business, middle-market, and enterprise.

• The candidate must have a proven track record with verifiable success in leading teams in the sales arena. 

• Experience 4-5 years of sales experience and 3 years of management, preferably in the Transportation & Relocation Services Industry.  

•  Preferred School: Bachelor’s or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must be a results oriented individual who demands that team members achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly targets.  
• They must also have experience in developing sales targets for individual sales personnel along with targets for specific geographic areas.
• Up to 25% travel required to assist in closing sales and developing sales representatives.
