POSITION DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES
The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at The City College of New York, CUNY, seeks a full-time Lecturer beginning in spring 2010. Duties include teaching language, literature and film classes (27 hours annually) as well as committee work and program development in our Portuguese offerings.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for the position should have teaching experience and at least a master’s degree (PhD preferred) in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Literatures and Languages. They should have native or near-native competency in both Portuguese and Spanish as well as fluency in English. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in teaching Portuguese and Spanish language at all levels.
