Supervisor - Lead Drafter/Manager

Reporting:            The position reports to the Engineering Manager of the company.

Responsibility: Manages the Drafting Department and its activities.   Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.   Manages activities performed by outside drafting organizations.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.   Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training all assigned drafting employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.  Assists the Engineering Manager in conducting quality checks of all documents and reports, verifying accuracy of data, information, and calculations.  Uses computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software.

Experience:     Candidate shall have a minimum of 10 years of experienced associated with drafting API and ASME Code construction projects.  Must be conversant with the respective Code and Standards, including some general knowledge in drafting welding and non-destructive examination requirements.  API-653 or similar certifications are desired, but not required for the position.

Education:       Associate Technical Degree.
