Description:
The Tax Manager will report to the Director of Domestic Tax and have principal responsibility for the calculation of the financial statement, federal tax provision, preparation of the federal tax return, and maintenance of all tax accounts.
Requirements:

Forecasts, analyzes and tracks all US Federal permanent book-to-tax differences.

Forecasts, analyzes and tracks all Federal temporary differences.

Prepares Federal tax estimates on a quarterly basis.

Primary responsibility for preparation of Federal tax return.

Calculates global tax provision with assistance of International Tax Group.

Prepares responses to information document request from the Internal Revenue Service audit team.
-
Maximizes all Federal tax incentives.

Assists management in establishing long and short-term objectives for continued effectiveness, efficiency and productivity.

Maintains regular contact with the Controllers Division.

Manages and works “hands-on" with assigned staff.
Required Skills and Abilities:
-
Specific expertise in FAS 109 and FIN 48.

Strong understanding of the functions of accounting, the underlying body of concepts that constitute accounting theory and the application of those concepts to accounting problems and situation.

Experience in preparation of a consolidated income tax return using tax return preparation software.

Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel and tax return preparation software.

Works well under pressure and has the ability to prioritize work to meet strict filing deadlines.

Demonstrated analytical, technical, organizational, and problem solving skills with keen investigative abilities.

Proven ability to self-direct and work on multiple projects simultaneously to successful completion in a deadline-driven environment.

Demonstrated ability to work with and manage staff.
