The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

 

Routine Functions of the Position

• Assists in scheduling of all professional and non-professional staff on shift. Prepares

  staffing schedules to be equal in duties and accordance with state regulations. Replaces

  call-offs in accord with number of available beds in facility.

• Directs, supervises, and evaluates all nursing personnel to ensure that the total needs of

  residents and their families are met. This shall include the making of rounds of the entire

  center.

• Prepares and maintains all records and ancillary forms in compliance with state and federal regulations and nursing center policies.

• In conjunction with the DON and Interdisciplinary Team, determines, plans and reviews

  nursing care plans for residents.

• In conjunction with DON assists in developing and revising nursing care policies as

  needed.

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and must possess and maintain a current license as a RN issued by the Commonwealth of PA.

• Must have a demonstrated interest in the nursing profession, reflected by completion of graduate-level educational efforts and/or participation in workshops, seminars or conferences in geriatric nursing, nursing services, rehabilitation or personnel management.

• Must have at least two years prior experience as a charge nurse and/or another managerial nursing position.
