Description

 We are currently looking for Experienced Long Term Care Certified Nursing Assistants for:

PRN - Per Requested Need for all shifts.  Must be able to be "on Call" for not less than 5 shifts in a one month period and be able to offer/sign up and work not less than 8 shifts per month. This facility does not use agency our PRN CNA's are the ones to get the hours. The more shifts you are able to offer the more shifts you will receive. This is on an as needed basis only this is not a full time or part time position.

Job Summary:

 

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA's) assist nurses in general care and well being of residents; positions, transfers, moves and lifts residents; will feed and bathe residents as well as respond to their general needs; takes and records temperatures, pulses and respirations; observes residents and reports unusual symptoms and/or behaviors; ensures that restraints are correctly applied and clean; keeps beds, bedpans and related equipment clean; maintains unit environment for safety of resident; transports residents, specimens, and other related resident items; may apply or remove braces and performs related duties as required.

Requirements Qualifications:

*Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent as a minimum and completion of a certified nursing assistant course from an accredited college program.

*Must be listed on North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry in good standing with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

*Must have a genuine interest in caring for geriatric residents to assist them to maintain their independence and dignity to the highest level possible.

*Must have caring attitude with ability to work harmoniously with physicians, nurses, residents, family members, administration, and general public.

*Must demonstrate a positive attitude and work under close supervision of charge nurse.

*Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.

*Must be able to document and record information on nursing assistant flow sheets and notes.

*Must be able to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

*Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action

*Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

*Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, facility, etc., and maintain the appearance of the nursing areas, residents rooms, regular inspection of resident's rooms for sanitation, order and safety.

*Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever physical, social, emotional, spiritual level the resident is able to understand and function.
