Job Description of Assistant Director of Nursing Services: 

Mystic Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center is currently seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to oversee our 100-bed Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Our beautiful, Joint Commission-accredited skilled nursing facility is located in scenic and historic Mystic, CT in New London County. Mystic Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation is accepting applications from qualified RNs to be considered for this nursing leadership position in our facility.

Job Responsibilities of Assistant director of Nursing Services:

• The primary purpose of this position is to assist the DNS plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of Mystic Healthcare Nursing Services Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
• This position also is in charge of Staff Development and reports directly to the Director of Nursing.

Requirements of Assistant Director of Nursing Services:
 
The ADNS shall be a Connecticut-licensed Registered Nurse with a license in good standing and at least 2 years of long-term care experience.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership skills and decision-making ability along with strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• He/she must be able to develop professional staff, build effective team relationships and establish a positive working environment.
• Must be able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively and have demonstrated abilities in delivering quality care and regulatory compliance.
• Must be knowledgeable about JCAHO, Federal, State, and local nursing home regulations and requirements.
