Job Description

  • This position is responsible for defining incorporating QA best practices with a focus on automation for the Flight Operations and Crew software development team at US Airways. 
  • This position requires bringing vision and growth to a heavily used Microsoft Team System environment.
  • Define policies and practices governing both manual and automated testing.
  • Assessing value of automated versus manual testing for particular test cases.
  • Organizing and contributing to the conversion of manual test cases to automated test cases where cost effective.
  • Implementation of quality processes with the continuous integration process (unit, functional and performance testing).
  • Assist and create TFS-Based management reports.
  • Drive standards, best practices and education on successful application testing. Collaborate with business analyst to clarify business requirements and ensure requirements are met.
  • Performs other functions or projects as assigned by manager.
Job Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a quality assurance capacity, with 3+ years leading quality assurance efforts for medium to large sized projects
  • Experience with functional testing frameworks or tools, e.g. FIT, VSTS, Selenium etc
  • Experience with load testing tools, e.g, VSTS, LoadRunner and methods for incorporating them into continuous integration environments
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks, e.g. NUnit, VSTS, etc
  • Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Solid verbal, technical and interpersonal skills (presentation and formal documentation)
  • Agile development methodologies; Scrum or XP preferred
  • Ability to acquire working knowledge of new technologies and tools at an accelerated pace.
