Direct Support Specialists Needed

 As part of a state-wide effort to develop home and community-based support for children, young adults, and their families within the behavioral health system, Child & Family Support Services has been granted the unique opportunity to develop and maintain a workforce of Direct Support Specialists in Maricopa County.

We are looking for caring, committed individuals who share the same values to partner with us in supporting families. 

Applicants must be 21 years or older and be able to show proof of a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must have a minimum of six weeks of related behavioral health experience.  Specialists must:

·         Demonstrate flexibility in working with families and youth

·         Be able to work effectively within a team environment

·         Demonstrate creativity and problem solving skills

·         Be comfortable working in a strength based and family centered way

·         Demonstrate an ability to relate to and build positive connections with children and adults

Direct Support requires afternoon, evening, and weekend work. Flexibility in scheduling, willingness to drive to different cities in Maricopa County and willingness to work within the homes and communities of the families we support is required. Candidates are required to submit a negative substance abuse test and must be able to obtain fingerprint and criminal history background clearance.  Reliable transportation is required, including proof of insurance and an acceptable driving record.

Starting pay for this position is $12.02 / hour
