The Position:

 

In this role, we are seeking a results-oriented, driven individual with supply chain or procurement experience in a wide range of IT/Telecom categories to work with our Fortune 500 clients.  You will execute strategic sourcing projects that support our client’s business goals while achieving optimal pricing, quality and service levels. 

In this capacity, you will be based out of ICG Commerce’s King of Prussia office and will have frequent interaction with team members and customers in the execution of projects that help customers achieve significant value in the form of improved pricing, quality, delivery, supplier performance and other aspects of total cost.  Specifically, you will:

 

  • Partner with clients/suppliers to identify and drive cost improvement opportunities for numerous leading Fortune 500 companies in the following category areas: IT Services, Software, Hardware and Wireless Telecom

  • Manage all aspects of sourcing projects according to team, account, and budget guidelines 

  • Establish and cultivate key client stakeholder relationships across organizations, building trust and support for each sourcing project

  • Seek out opportunities to drive creativity and innovation within each sourcing project, while ensuring adherence to quality and timeliness standards

  • Promote corporate objectives and change initiatives, ensuring IT Project sourcing team is supporting overall company direction and growth

  • Develop deep category-specific knowledge to continuously deliver added value to customers and advance career opportunities

  • Expand supplier and customer management skills

  • Improve project management discipline

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members to deliver significant results

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

 

  • A degree in a quantitative discipline (business/finance/economics/engineering/ mathematics) from a top tier university

  • Procurement experience in information technology, project management experience a plus

  • Consultancy, sourcing and/or category management experience within a Fortune 500 organization

  • Excellent communication, multi-tasking and organization/time management skills

  • Experience building relationships with stakeholders or customers that have resulted in 

  • Proven competency in contracting/negotiation processes and best practices

  • Solid understanding of and experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis

  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint

  • Adaptable management style to conform to the varied corporate cultures and organizational structures of our customers

Travel:

  • Travel will be minimal in this role
