The Mergis Group has immediate needs for experienced Mortgage Underwriters.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform the review and approval for consumer loan requests
- Financial statement review, analyze credit reports and related ratios (Debt ratios, loan-to-value)
- Ensure compliance, accuracy and completeness with loan
- Evaluate the loan file documentation to determine if a loan should be approved or denied and upholds to guidelines and industry standards.
- Risk assessment for both lender and investor.
- Final loan decisioning.

- Mortgage banking experience required
- Minimum of two years underwriting experience preferred
- Quality Assurance, government and agency experience preferred.
