The University of Chicago was awarded a Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) by the National Institutes of Health, National Center for Research Resources to provide resources to basic, clinical and translational scientists through new professional interactions, program and research projects and through the elimination of barriers within research. The goals of the program are to train scientists and health care providers at the University of Chicago and in our community. The Institute for Translational Medicine (ITM) is the administrative unit for our CTSA program. It operates across divisional, departmental, and professional school lines to generate new research methods, technologies, and molecular target discovery.
The
Communications Coordinator is a member of the management team in the University of Chicago Institute for Translational Medicine (ITM). The Coordinator's primary responsibilities are to strategically develop and manage all of the internal and external communications vehicles. This includes, in particular, the content of the internal and external ITM websites. The Communications Coordinator also serves as an editorial "voice" of the ITM and its Directors in conveying the ITM mission and strategic goals through other new and developing electronic media as well as other communications mechanisms such as video, brochures, speeches, pamphlets, community email newsletter, press releases, position papers, letters and other written material.
