Job Description

Staffing Plus Inc. is currently seeking Certified ASL (American Sign Language) Interpreters to work with adolescents in their classroom setting in the Philadelphia area

  

Earn up to $40.00/hr depending on experience!

  

 Staffing Plus has immediate full and part time cases to fit your schedule!

Responsibilites for a Certified American Sign Language interpreter would include:

  • As an ASL interpreter you will be working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in their classroom setting.
  • The ASL interpreter will be responsible for providing interpretation to the student in reference to their daily lesson plans and individual learning time in the classroom.
  • The ASL Interpreter will be required to participate in all activities with the student and all meetings in regards to the student’s educational needs.  
  • American Sign Language Interpreters will be required to travel to different locations through out the Philadelphia area to meet with clients


Job Requirements

To qualify you must have:

  

  • 1 year paid experience working in direct contact with children and/or adolescents in their school/home or residential setting using American Sign Language
  • National Certification and PA State Licensure through ODHH preferred
  • Current PA Required Clearances- Child Abuse and Criminal Check
  • Cogent FBI Fingerprint a MUST TO START MOST CASES.
  • Current Physical/PPD
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills A MUST

  

Staffing Plus will assist in obtaining all PA mandated clearances

including Child Abuse, PA Criminal Background Check and Cogent FBI Fingerprinting (Department of Education and Department of Welfare).

  

CPR, First Aid and all other required trainings can be obtained

through our on-site training department!
