Utah Career College has an immediate opening for a Nursing Program Chair for our Associate in Applied Science nursing program located in West Jordan. The program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
Considered full-time, exempt salaried employee with 100% on-campus presence to provide support to program, faculty and students as well as support administration and the campus as a whole. Program Chair teaching loads are determined on a quarterly basis taking into account factors such as department size, administrative responsibilities, additional duties, corporate involvement, etc. Program Chair position description includes the following responsibilities as well as all duties of a full-time instructor.
Education/work experience requirements:
- Have a current, active, unencumbered RN or APRN license or multistate privilege to practice nursing in Utah.
- Have a minimum of an earned graduate degree with a major in nursing from a nurse accredited education program.
- Experience in nursing education and program administration preferred.
- Education/work experience determined by type of course taught. See policy 5.027, Faculty Preparation Minimums and the Utah Board of Nursing stipulations.
