Provide Product Support Sr. Specialist Performs a wide variety of sequencing, planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow. Determines sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation and other manufacturing operations relation to specific portion of the product. Coordinates and monitors workflow, assisting in scheduling and prioritizing activities in assigned area. Working from programs/project status reports, work or delivery schedules and/or manifests, checks and verifies data, identifies items to be posted, identifies related areas that are affected and records information. Analyzes and reconciles data. Investigates inconsistencies. Determines and communicates impacts to affected individuals, and initiates and takes corrective action. Prepares reports and summaries. Replies to inquiries. Draws attention to important items and actual or potential problems and assists in developing solutions. Checks for work correctness and Lean Manufacturing implementation
Job Duties:
- Outline specifications, review task planning, sketches, blueprints per PD056.
- Analyze historical data for Flight Hangar.
- Field support, supplier assessment support, local vendor manufacturing support. Maintaining and reporting the following items:
- Manufacturing planning, Producibility, Tool Control and FOD Per PQCM-223 and PD058, Quality Improvements, Calibration per ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994.
- Manufacturing support on investigation, and improvements.
- Support continuous process improvement, support change management – as the aircraft configuration changes, new processes need to be developed or existing processes need to be adjusted, along with adjusting the part and/or tool presentation systems.
- Production system maintenance – part and tool presentation systems wear and require regular maintenance to keep processes working reliably.
- Supporting outsourcing effort.
- Perform sub-assembly/small part build-up analysis that can be moved from other facilities.
- Flight Standardization: evaluate function test procedures, review hand and power tool needs, review test equipment, standardize work cell setup, evaluate task planning processes and standardize into standard work flow.
Required Skills:
- General aircraft knowledge
- Work measurement experience
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Specialist
- Access/Excel/ proficiency required
- Good people and presentation skills necessary
Required Experience and Education (including Major):
- 6 Years directly related experience. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
