Must be able to monitor simultaneously-occurring multiple events or monitor sports/special events being broadcast live and have rapid reaction time to selectively pinpoint problems and/or insert promotional material as scheduled.
Must have the ability to use complex electronic measurement and test instruments, and follow written and verbal instructions.
Must have well-developed interpersonal relationship skills and work closely with others in a team environment.
Requires 1-2 years of experience within broadcast industry.
This is a temporary position and requires clearing a background check and drug screen
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Is subject to prolonged low-light environment and must have acute hearing and vision abilities in order to sort out and monitor signals with multiple events occurring simultaneously.
The employee sits extensively, answers telephone calls, and uses hands extensively to manipulate electronic measuring instruments. Occasionally bends, reaches, and pushes and pulls file drawers to file records and reports. Must have the ability to lift and move equipment up to 10 pounds.
Most Broadcast Center employees work on a shift basis, and as such will be required to periodically rotate shifts and regular days off.
Individuals of the broadcast operations team engaged in monitoring and troubleshooting the playback, recording, and transmission of TV signals through channels to customers. Must have knowledge of analog and digital technology, and demonstrated working skills in video, audio, and computer automation.
