Software Test Automation Engineer

Description

Passport Health Communications, Inc., a nationally recognized pioneer developing innovative solutions for the healthcare industry and one of Healthcare Informatics Top 100 Healthcare Companies, is seeking a Software Test Automation Engineer.

 

The Software Test Automation Engineer designs, codes, implements, and maintains scripts, suites, and other tools necessary and appropriate for automated testing of various Passport applications.

 

Job Duties:

·         Define, develop and improve automation testing methods/processes and testing deliverables. Integrated into periodic, product, project, and release-based test cycles.
·         Develop, execute, and maintain automated test artifacts to perform various aspects of software testing including smoke/sanity, functional, regression, and compliance testing.
·         Define, develop and execute test engineering tasks, which include reviewing and analyzing, product requirements, executing test plans and automated test cases, monitoring/analyzing test results, collecting test metrics and conducting test reporting.
·         Work across teams within and outside the QA organization to execute multiple tasks/assignments simultaneously with input from several resources.
·         Support, manage, and maintain the QA test environment; includes security and version control of tools and test data.
·         Other Duties as Required.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in related field of study and 3 years software testing experience.

·         Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

·         Experience with commercial ALM/SDLC tools, traditional and iterative development processes, and both black and white box testing is strongly preferred, especially in the areas of GUI and SOA / Web Services automation testing

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills; flow-charting/presentation skill a plus

·         Problem-solving as part of a distributed team

·         Time management and organizational skills

·         Working knowledge of PC-based Internet and Windows applications

·         Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle; especially related data specifications

·         Experience with healthcare transactions and HIS systems
