Laboratory Scientist
Job Description

A leading company in the pharmaceutical industry is currently seeking a Laboratory Scientist to join their team. For the right candidate, this is a fantastic opportunity with great growth prospects. Details:

1) Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced trouble shooting
2) Conduct medical laboratory tests to assist in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease
3) Ensure that service is provided in an accurate, efficient and cost effective manner
4) Maintain and update professional knowledge and take task for continuing professional development
5) Assist in preparing research proposals, selecting and implementing procedures and equipment and compiling results
6) Establish and maintain quality control standards for new procedures and methodologies
7) Initiate changes to research and development processes
8) Contribute to the advancement of diagnostic services and enhanced laboratory performance
9) Co-ordinate quality control procedures in addition to resolve safety related issues in the laboratory
10) Assist with strategic planning and budgeting

Job Requirements

1) University degree is required (preference will be given to those with degree in relevant field, though all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply)
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to people who have recent experience in R&D
