Quality Assurance Manager
Job Description

A leading company in the pharmaceutical industry is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join their team. For the right candidate, this is a fantastic opportunity with great growth prospects. Details:

1) Be responsible for managing quality activities and QA personnel
2) Work to ensure that company operations meet client requirements and cGMP regulations
3) Coordinate and implement activities to attain goals and objectives, supervise work practices for direct reports, interpret and execute policies and procedures that typically affect organizational units
4) Interact with other departments
5) Report directly to the Vice President / General Manager
6) Manage the QA department's daily work activities, including workload, general guidance to direct reports and across functional groups and serve as a resource for technical / administrative problems
7) Review and evaluate performance issues with up to 20 direct reports
8) Conduct performance reviews, address performance related issues and actively support and help drive career planning for all direct reports
9) Interact with customers during meetings and visits
10) Provide responses to customer's questions
11) Review and approve investigations and change controls
12) Assist in quality assurance operations as needed, including batch record, protocol and data review
13) Actively work with validation staff to ensure equipment and processes are validated and ensure review process is in place to help support and drive quality systems
14) Review, approve and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), master batch records, stability assay and equipment protocols and specifications
15) Approve / reject potential suppliers and ensure supplier qualification is completed
16) Host client audits as necessary
17) Review resumes, conduct interviews, and make hiring recommendations
18) Ensure quality metrics are collected, reviewed and actionable
19) Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
20) Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

1) University degree is required (preference will be given to those with degree in relevant field, though all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply)
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to people have recent experience in quality assurance management
