Assist on analytical projects focused on identifying areas for operational improvement. Research and provide recommendations for process improvements and assess the impact of those recommendations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
-Provides recommendations to initiate policies and programs which will enable operations to recognize economic opportunities and realize maximum benefits from such opportunities.
-Assists in the development of long range strategic plan for existing, new or proposed business operations.
-Analyzes areas to identify best practices in the Field and shares those across the organization -Provides analysis and evaluation of cost saving opportunities existing within current business activities
-Assists in the creation of all reporting relating to fleet and operations for management review.
-Analyzes significant variances from planned or forecasted results in order to provide interpretative comments and recommendations to management.
-Develops and maintains project plans, and prepares and analyzes project performance reports.
-Works with team to drive processes and procedures, and supports programs focused on departmental and organizational goals.
-Delivers timely, quality work to support analytical projects and reportingSupervisory Responsibilities
This job has no direct reports, but may occasionally be responsible for delegating assignments and tasks on a project basis. Also, may be assigned coaching/mentoring tasks to help develop less experienced team members.Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and five years of increasingly responsible experience working with data analytics, operations reporting, and business intelligence
Preferred: B.S. in engineering, statistics or math and 5 plus years of related experience Master's or MBA preferred
Preferred Experience: Prior Business Analyst/Associate/Consultant experience at a major consulting firm (McKinsey/Booz/Deloitte/KPMG/etc.)
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
Preferred: PMI Certification.
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
-Effective communicator with the ability to lead and influence others.
-Broad and deep functional knowledge and experience in the areas of change management.
-Experience in systems / process implementation, upgrades and analyses, QA testing, system design and analysis.
-Adept decision making skills and strong problem-solving skills.
-Effective communicator with the ability to lead and influence others. Preferred: Working knowledge of data mining and statistical analysis packages such as SAS or R
