Develop and implement emarketing programs including websites; email; online advertising and promotions; and search-engine marketing (SEM/SEO).
Prepare and implement marketing plans for all assigned Adult book titles.
Assist in title by title online marketing campaigns across imprints, adult and children�s books.
Assist in creative development of special assets including overseeing custom video development, website creation, and other digital content.
Work with our Digital Strategy group to conceive strategies and tactics to raise rates of customer email acquisition and retention.
Develop partner relationships with highly trafficked niche sites.
Share knowledge of online author marketing with authors and editorial.
Participate in the creation of catalogs each season, plus complete sets of sales materials along with sell sheets as requested by the sales team.
Work closely between marketing, sales, editorial, and digital strategy to communicate new initiatives and update project development
Oversee online market analysis.
Research and keep department informed of latest web technologies and new opportunities online.
Provide innovative ideas to drive sales and awareness online, and explore new marketing venues for web based outreach.
At least two years book marketing experience.
Must be able to conceive and implement title campaigns, working with authors, publicity, editorial and sales colleagues.
Able to independently and proactively learn new toolsets/skills as necessary and adapt quickly to rapidly changing technology.
Able to conceptualize, design, and organize high quality Web sites.
Able to develop, manage, and maintain Web pages using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML).
Able to develop forms, widgets, and other web components to help market titles online.
Has working experience and proficiency with one or more Web page authoring packages/Web site development suites such as Macromedia Dreamweaver.
Has knowledge of JavaScript, CGI scripts, and XML.
Has work experience and proficiency in the following: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Flash, Coldfusion, JSP, AJAX , Web browsers, and other design tool files.
Familiar with audio editing, video editing.
Able to translate technical terms for non-technical persons and provide end user training.
