Growing financial services firm has a position available for a well-rounded Junior Staff Accountant to join their team. This is a company that prides itself on service to the customer and has built lasting relationships with clients during in their many years since establishment.

This is a robust position requiring a qualified Staff Accountant to handle general accounting duties. In this role you will post journal entries, compile sales and use tax information, process purchase orders and check requests and more. This is a full time permanent position offering competitive compensation and benefits.  This location is easily accessible using public transportation as well.

Junior Staff Accountant, Areas of Responsibility:

• Prepare and post monthly general journal entries


• Review accounts receivable and follow-up on any points of escalation


• Review accounts payable and record and apply cash receipts and checks


• Prepare and reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts


• Assist in Audit procedures

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance


• Recent Graduate with Internship to 2 years related experience in a well-rounded accounting role


• Strong working experience in MS Office, specifically Excel


• Knowledge of Great Plains accounting software strongly preferred but not required


• Must display exceptional communication skills


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment required
