Purpose:
Our Client, a leading fortune 500 organization in the Insurance industry is seeking a consultant for the following contract opportunity.


IDMS/ Informix DBA

Short Description:
Need for a DBA contractor on a potentially long-term basis. Management of IDMS and Informix databases.
Complete Description:
Serves as an expert in database systems and applications analysis and development. Undertakes the most complex database systems and applications projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. Makes well-thought-out decisions on the most complex or ambiguous database issues. Coordinates with users to determine requirements, Ensures that database improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. Establishes and communicates common goal and direction for team. Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff. Monitors project schedules and costs.
Behavior Characteristics:
Eight years of experience in database administration. Progressive experience in database analysis and installation is strongly preferred.
