POSITION:  Alfred Fortin Villa Day Care Director

JOB SUMMARY:

The Day Care Center Director will coordinate the daily operation of the Alfred Fortin Villa child care facility.  This includes faculty and staff supervision, curriculum development, and facility renovation and maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.

2. Six to eight years experience in Early Childhood Education with progressive levels of responsibilities. Previous day care administration experience preferred.

3. Familiarity with corporate sponsored programs preferred

4. History of positive parent relationships

5. Experience with financial management

6. Communicate effectively with adults and children

7. Commitment to the Provena Health Mission

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.   Hire and supervise a competent and caring faculty and staff.

2.   Ensure enrollment is at full capacity.  Market the center to employees of Provena Health and the community.

3.   Establish positive communication with parents, faculty, staff, management and the community.

4.   Identify and develop standards for child care curriculum and programs.

5.   Implement child oriented curriculum by evaluating current programs and redesigning to meet standards.

6.   Develop educational programs for the faculty and staff. 

7.   Develop and maintain the budget for the center.  Keep center expense within budget, meet or exceed budgeted revenue.

8.   Meet and exceed state licensing requirements as determined by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

9.   Advocate the system's mission and philosophy in all dealings with faculty, parents, and students.  Understand the faith based foundation from which the Alfred Fortin Villa was developed.
