Job Description

  • Hooks up empty oxygen cylinders to filling manifolds (bulk oxygen tank hookups).  Fills high pressure oxygen cylinders with oxygen.
  • May deliver oxygen cylinders to other locations.
  • Stores oxygen cylinders in appropriate section of warehouse.
  • Maintains accurate files of all work performed. Files contain such information as lot and batch numbers, cylinder maintenance and inspection logs and materials required by the F.D.A.
  • Tests and inspects cylinders. Verifies filling requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.
 
 
 


Job Requirements 

  • Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required.
  • At least one year related experience is required.
  • Incumbent must be certified with the applicable State Board of Pharmacy to work with Oxygen, where required by law.
  • Must meet job-related requirements to comply with D.O.T., F.D.A. and JCAHO regulations.
  • Must have Class A or B license with hazardous material endorsement.*
